Ron Mueck Exhibition

Seeing as it was the last day of the Ron Mueck Exhibition today, we figured that we should make an effort and get in there and see it.  I wish I’d realised just how popular it was going to be and thought to pre-purchase tickets on the net last night.  Now I know.

Admittedly, it took us longer to get in and get tickets than it did to see his whole exhibition but it was still worth it.  The detail of those sculptures was absolutely incredible and I’m so glad that we went to see it.  I’m not sure where it is going next but I highly recommend everyone to see this if you can.

Unfortunately I am not a very good photographer but I do like the way that this one turned out, even if it’s not 100% clear.  I like the way that the people in the background have blurred as they have moved.  To me it shows that life goes on around this pair of old women, while they talk.  Like time has slowed or stopped for them but has sped up for everyone else around them.  It’s difficult to get a sharp shot without a flash, I’ve discovered.  Maybe I should have used a tripod!

Did you go to the exhibition? What did you think?
